West Shore School District has a similar nemesis as East Pennsboro School District – mold.
Cedar Cliff High School is closed Wednesday, August 31, as the district figures out how far and wide mold is permeating the high school.
East Pennsboro High School, and West Creek and East Pennsboro elementary schools students missed the first week of classes, while the district confirmed air quality. All East Pennsboro students have returned to classes.
School boards have previously faced legal challenges, in which they have run out of scheduled vacation, and built-in inclement-weather back-up days. When that occurred, several school boards turned to the state department of education for a waiver of required educational days completed.
