Victim ID’d in Route 222 wreck in Strasburg Township

STRASBURG TOWNSHIP, Pa.–Pennsylvania State Police have identified the woman who was killed in a two-vehicle crash along Route 222 in Lancaster County as 30 year-old Randall Wilps, of Quarryville.

The crash happened around 6:30 a.m.  Wednesday along Route 222 (Beaver Valley Pike) near Otsu Road in Strasburg Township.

Investigators say Kevin Grove, 34, of Quarryville, was driving north on Beaver Valley Pike when his pickup truck veered into the southbound lane and was struck by a Kenwood dump truck driven by 35-year-old Michael Martin.

Wilps, was a passenger in the pickup truck.

The dump truck flipped onto its side, blocking traffic along Beaver Valley Pike.

Both drivers were taken to Lancaster General Hospital for treatment.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
