Hugh O’Brian, actor who played Wyatt Earp, passes away at 91

Hugh O’Brian, best known for playing Wyatt Earp on the ABC western series, “The Life and Legend of Wyatt Earp,” passed away Monday, Sept 5 at the age of 91.

Twitter revealed an outpouring of appreciation for his legacy of helping teach leadership to youth through his organization Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership. Known as HOBY, Hugh grew his non-profit youth leadership development program for high school scholars into all 50 states, as well as 20 countries.

Since its inception in 1958, over 455,000  young people have participated in HOBY-related programs.
