Gettysburg, Pa. – The Gettysburg Adams Chamber of Commerce, Adams County’s largest and oldest business organization, has released its first Adams County Living magazine, a community guide and directory of more than 500 chamber businesses.

“With more than 500 businesses listed within its pages, Adams County Living is a great guide to buying locally and using the trusted talents and expertise of those around us,” said Carrie Stuart, chamber president. “Not only does it tell the story of local businesses, it tells the story of our thriving community.”

The 84-page publication was produced entirely by the chamber utilizing the talent of the local workforce. It includes a narrative and statistical snapshot of each of the major industries in the county, events calendar, directory of all chamber businesses and photography of local businesses and people. It will be published annually.

Nearly 8,000 copies will be distributed to Saturday subscribers of the Gettysburg Times on Sept. 17. Residents can also pick up a copy in the chamber office at 1382 Biglerville Road, Gettysburg, between the hours of 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, or access a digital version at gettysburg-chamber.org. Contact the chamber office with questions at 717.334.8151 or info@gettysburg-chamber.org.

“It’s our hope that people refer to this guide and consider using the services of chamber members – from financial institutions and electricians to caterers and retailers,” added Stuart. “Spending dollars at local businesses means your money will stay here, supporting local jobs and making Adams County a better place to live.”

The chamber supports the Adams County business community by promoting diverse economic opportunities through advocacy, networking and information. Nearly 540 local businesses and organizations are members. For more information, visit www.gettysburg-chamber.org.
