JACKSON TWP., York County, Pa.-- Police are investigating a murder-suicide that occurred in a home in York County Monday evening. It happened around 10:30pm at 1250 Summit Run Court in Jackson Township. Arriving police officers found two people, identified as Susan and Scott Hoke, dead in the home's kitchen. Police say a teenage girl was present in the home at the time of the shootings, but she was not injured.

The home belonged to Susan Hoke, 50. Investigators say the incident began when the victim's husband, Scott Hoke, 42, broke into the home.

The deceased each had gun shot wounds to their heads. Police say Scott Hoke shot his estranged wife and then shot himself. There was no forced entry to the residence.

Scott Hoke was still gripping a handgun in his hand.

Susan Hoke had a valid Protection From Abuse(PFA) order against Scott Hoke.

The teenage girl in the home is the daughter of Scott and Susan Hoke. She was in a separate portion of the home and did not witness the incident. She fled to a neighbor’s to call 911.
