LANCASTER, Pa. — Volunteers are needed to wrap holiday gifts at Park City during the Christmas season! Wrapping is sponsored by United Disabilities Services Foundation in support of the lives of people with physical and age-related disabilities.

Gifts are wrapped for shoppers at the Sears Mall of Park City Center every hour, every day from Black Friday to Christmas. Over 500 volunteers from throughout the community are needed to take a shift
(3-4 hours) or shifts.

Training in gift-wrapping is scheduled for Wednesday, November 9, 2016 from 1-3 pm or 7-9 pm at the Park City Community Room (Kohl’s Mall), and is open to new wrappers or those who would like a refresher. No reservation needed to attend.

Proceeds from the gift wrapping project benefit United Disabilities Services Foundation, a Lancaster-based nonprofit which provides programs and services to help people with disabilities live more independent lives in the community. Funds raised are put to work in programs such as adult day programming, custom wheelchair seating, and UDS Service Dogs

UDSF is still accepting volunteers to wrap. Individuals and volunteers 14 years of age or older from church, community, civic or school groups are invited to sign up for a variety of four-hour shifts scheduled during booth hours. Sign up soon for the best selection of time slots. To volunteer, contact Volunteer Coordinator Lori Spradling at 740-624-1866 or email lorispradling@hotmail.com. For more information, contact Ellie LaCasse, 717-917-3268.
