HARRISBURG, Pa.-- Take Steps, a group that has raised more than $60 million to fund mission-critical research and patient support programs, is holding a walk for Crohn's Disease and Colitis in Harrisburg.

The walk, which will be held on Sunday, September 18 at 2 p.m. in Harrisburg, is to help benefit those committed to finding cures for digestive diseases. More than 1.6 million people are affected by these diseases, with some dying from complications related to the disease.

There are a number of different activities being offered, including food, a DJ, photographer, and children's activities.

Today on FOX43 Morning News, Christine Ricci, a survivor of the disease, will be speaking about her coordination of the walk.
