Ephrata Police charge adult, juvenile in armed robbery

EPHRATA, Pa. -On September 13, at 4:40 p.m., Ephrata Police responded to the 800 Block of Clearview Avenue, Ephrata Borough for a robbery that just occurred.

A 21 year old Ephrata man told police that, while parked in a parking lot of an apartment building, he met two acquaintances who then robbed him at knife point.  The suspects took over $400 in cash, a cellphone and other personal items.

Ephrata Police arrived on scene in less than four minutes, located the suspects hiding in the vestibule of an apartment building  and, after a brief foot pursuit, apprehended both suspects.

Joseph N. DeJesus, 20, of Lenhartsville and a 17 year old Ephrata juvenile were both charged with Robbery and Criminal Conspiracy.
