LANCASTER, Pa. — A Lancaster man was convicted Tuesday of exposing himself to a female jogger last year at Lancaster County Park.
Lancaster County Judge James Cullen convicted Junie Vasquez of misdemeanor indecent exposure after a morning of testimony in a non-jury trial.
Cullen found that Vasquez exposed himself to the woman on Golf Road in the afternoon of Nov. 27, 2015.
Vasquez, 37, will serve the next 15 months on parole and abide by sex offender conditions, according to Judge Cullen’s sentence. Vasquez served about 8 months in prison on the charge.
Assistant District Attorney Fritz Haverstick presented testimony about the incident, which happened near tennis courts in the park.
The victim testified that she was running and saw a black male, in the distance, wearing all black clothing. He initially had his buttocks exposed, so the woman crossed to the other side of the street to avoid him. As she passed, he exposed his genitals to her.
He then fled on foot into a wooded area, according to the woman.
Soon after, a park ranger apprehended Vasquez in the park. The victim identified him as the man who exposed himself.
West Lampeter Township police Officer Joseph Eisenhour filed charges.
