(CNN) New York City– An explosion in the Chelsea neighborhood of New York on Saturday night injured 29 people, the fire department said.
Officials have determined the explosion of a device near a dumpster was an ‘intentional act’. Mayor Bill DiBlasio said during a press conference however, that there is no evidence to link this incident as terror-related. Officials are still trying to assess what caused the explosion.
Authorities have just cleared the scene of a second possible device on 27th Street.
An eyewitness told CNN affiliate NY1 he was having dinner when an explosion rocked the area.
