East Cocalico Township, Lancaster County, Pa. –An officer who was helping a motorist on the side of the roadway was nearly struck by a passing vehicle. The driver of that vehicle was later arrested for DUI. It happened around 8pm on August 1st in the first block of Weaver Road. Police say Ricky Klopp, 57, of Denver, was taken into custody after officers determined that he was impaired. Klopp’s blood alcohol concentration was .20% at the time of the test.
