LANCASTER, Pa. - Lancaster EMS is celebrating 20 years of service. They are the only accredited EMS service in the county. Now they are calling on businesses for help.

"In the past we never asked our business community to make contributions to EMS. We’re at a point now where our residential membership drive is falling sort, our fee for service is falling short and frankly, we are in need of help," said Bob May of Lancaster EMS.

They are looking to purchase two new ambulances by June of 2017. Each ambulance, equipped, costs about $250,000.

”We need everyone to share in the cost to provide the service or frankly ambulance services will not be around in the future," said May.
