CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa., - East Pennsboro High School reopened Wednesday morning after being closed for several weeks due to mold issues.
According to District Superintendent Jay Burkhart, air quality tests conducted on Sunday came back normal, except for one classroom. As a result, students and faculty will not have class in that room. Burkhart says they will continue cleaning the room to ensure the air quality levels resume to a normal level.
In addition, the band and chorus room will be closed for a few weeks while they clean and sanitize the HVAC system.
The high school closed last month due to air quality issues with mold. Students were operating under a split schedule with students at the middle school. Both returned to normal operating schedules Wednesday.
