YORK, Pa.–UPDATE: Students and staff were allowed to return to the school at 9:40 a.m. Police and K-9 units cleared the building to make sure it was safe before re-entry.
Eastern York Middle School evacuated the school building on the heels of another bomb threat this week.

Eastern York Middle School students evacuated the school building at approximately 8:30 a.m. this morning, Friday, September 23, 2016 because a written bomb threat was discovered. All middle school students have been evacuated to the Eastern York High School Campus. The local police department has responded to the scene and will determine when it is safe for students and staff members to re-enter the building. It is not necessary for parents/guardians to pick up their middle school students at this time. All updates will be posted to the district website.
