HARRISBURG — Attorney General Bruce R. Beemer today announced that he has hired Chuck Ardo to serve as a communications consultant for the Office of Attorney General.

“Chuck has proven that he brings a steady voice to any situation,” Attorney General Beemer said. “He also has years of experience working with members of the press and an understanding of the Office of Attorney General. He is a person who has the perspective and knowledge to help the office moving forward.”

Ardo previously served for 13 months as the spokesman for the Office of Attorney General. Prior to that, he garnered a reputation as a respected communications professional, in part due to his tenure as the press secretary for former Gov. Ed Rendell.

“I am honored to have the opportunity to return to the Office of Attorney General,” Ardo said. “I look forward to working with Attorney General Beemer and the hundreds of capable OAG professionals who have continued to do their jobs admirably in spite of difficult circumstances.”

Ardo started work today. His compensation will be the same as it was during his earlier tenure with the office.
