LANCASTER, Pa.– The Pennsylvania Superior Court ruled on Monday that a Lancaster sex offender will not get relief from his decades-long prison sentence.

Timothy Anderson, 43, will continue to serve his 30-60 year prison term that was ordered in 2012.

He was charged with sexually assaulting two teenage girls and attempting to abuse a third.

Anderson had requested relief, arguing that the prosecution illegally searched his cellphone, uncovering photographs of two of the girls. He argued that to search his phone, the police needed a search warrant. However, the appellate court ruled that the police had the necessary warrant for the search.

Anderson used the phone and internet to communicate with the victims in 2008 and 2009.

Ultimately, Anderson was arrested after an undercover agent with the state attorney general’s officer posed as the girl.

Now, he will continue to serve his sentence.
