EAST HEMPFIELD TOWNSHIP, LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa.– Hempfield High School is assuring students, staff, and families that everyone is safe following an alleged clown threat that targeted the schools.
Today, the Hempfield High School Administration was made aware of an Instagram post that was related to a clown threat targeting the schools.
Students reported the post to administrators, and after further investigation, it was established that an unknown person created the social media account and re-posted a news article from St. Joseph, Missouri. There was no direct threat made to the Hempfield School District, students or staff.
The school assures that there will be security, administrators and East Hempfield Township police that will ensure the safety of all those in attendance for Friday evening’s football game.
