CLAY TWP., Lancaster County , Pa. — A Clay Township man, Lancaster County, was arrested after police said he assaulted and threatened a woman. It happened on Friday, October 1 in the 400 block of Countryside Lane.
According to the information provided to responding officers, the suspect, Scott Dean Herman, 46, of the same location, was armed with a handgun and rifle. He was also alleged to be threatening the victim.
The victim is acquainted with Herman. When police arrived, Herman was inside the residence, but walked out on his own after a brief discussion with officers, police said. He was taken into custody without incident.
The victim, a woman, had recent, non life-threatening injuries to her neck.
Officers from the NLCRPD were assisted by members of the Ephrata Police Department.
