Early morning burglary suspect flees after encountering home owner

YORK COUNTY, Pa. –  At approximately 12:14 a.m. this morning, officers responded to the 500 Block Dupont Avenue, in Spring Garden Township, for a home burglary in progress. The victim was on the second floor when a lone suspect entered his residence.

The resident upon hearing noise, encountered the suspect on the steps leading up to the second floor. The suspect upon seeing the homeowner turned, ran down the steps and fled the residence.

The suspect was described as a skinny build male of unknown race, between 5’5″ to 5’6″ tall He was wearing a light gray hooded sweatshirt with white stripes on the cuffs, grey jeans or sweatpants.

The suspect was seen getting into a small older model sedan, dark in color-possibly green.
