Lancaster woman was drunk in weekend crash with ejection

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. – Pennsylvania State Police say a Lancaster woman was drunk when she lost control of vehicle in a weekend crash. It happened Sunday at about 2:54 a.m. on Beaver Valley Pike in Strasburg Township

Samantha Jol Pfautz, was traveling north when lost control of her vehicle after rounding a curve in the roadway. The vehicle began sliding sideways striking an embankment which spun the vehicle ejecting two of the five occupants.  One passenger is listed in critical condition.

Pfautz, was found to be under the influence of alcoholic beverages.   She was arrested and arraigned on charges of Aggravated Assault by Vehicle while DUI, Accidents Involving Death or Personal Injury While Not Properly Licensed, DUI, Driving While Operating Privilege Suspended, Careless Driving and Seatbelt violation.

She was released after posting bail.
