Six people shot in downtown Minneapolis

Six people were shot early Monday in two separate shootings in Minneapolis, Minnesota, police said.

Investigators are trying to determine whether the shootings, which happened within a block of each other, are related. One of the victims remains in serious condition.

Minneapolis police said someone opened fire outside the department’s downtown precinct, CNN reported. Officers found two men with gunshot wounds to the leg.

Fifteen minutes later, officer said, they heard gun shots about a block away. Three men and one minor were discovered with gunshot wounds.

According to police, one of the victims was shot in the chest. That is the victim who remains in serious condition, CNN reported.

Police took one man into custody in connection to the second shooting. There is still no suspects in the first shooting.
