SHIPPENSBURG, Pa.– A man was arrested after prowling around a house at night.

On September 30 at approximately 2:15 a.m., Shippensburg Police were dispatched to the 100 block of South Fayette St for an active break in.

The victim told police that she was asleep and awakened by “some knocking and zipping rattling sound.” She looked around the house and found that a kitchen window was open,  which she said had been closed later that evening. She returned to bed after searching the house, only to hear the noise again. This time, she believed the noise was “much closer and inside.”

Upon arrival, police found Andrew Koser, 28, coming out from behind the house.

Koser was in possession of a knife that he used to had cut open the screens in the kitchen windows in attempt to gain access to the residence.

Koser is facing charges of attempted burglary, loitering and prowling at night, among other related charges.
