Police searching for suspect that robbed elderly couple in Weis Markets’ parking lot

SPRINGETTSBURY, Pa.– Police are searching for a suspect that robbed and threatened an elderly couple.

On October 3 at approximately 7:45 p.m., officers responded to the Weis Markets location at 2400 E. Market St. for an armed robbery.

The victims, a male and female in their 70’s, were approached by a male displaying a knife in the parking lot.

He took a purse and a wallet before getting into a gray or blue sedan. The suspect was last seen leaving the parking lot headed east on E. Market St.

He is described as a white male who stands approximately 6 feet tall with a stocky build. The suspect is described as having dark hair with a short trimmed beard and was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and baggy pants.
