Attempted burglaries, car theft in Spring Garden Twp.

Spring Garden Twp., York County, Pa. — Spring Garden Police investigating yet another attempted burglary. Officers were called to the 700 block Carroll Road on Tuesday October, 4th. The victim stated that he heard a slight knock at the door and when he went to check it out he saw someone trying to get into the residence by trying the door knob. The suspect did not gain entry into the residence.

The victim described the suspect as a black male, in his mid 20’s with short hair, about 5’5 to 5’7 tall, and decked out in all black clothing.

Also on Tuesday officers responded to an attempted burglary of a residence in the 1200 block Wyndham Drive.

The victim reported that on Monday evening, October 3, at 11:45 pm, the doorbell rang and someone knocked on the front door of the residence. When the victim got up on Tuesday morning, October 4, pry marks were observed on the front door where the suspect had attempted to gain entry into the residence. The suspect did not gain entry into the residence.

A local auto body shop and repair business also reported the theft of a motor vehicle from their parking lot Tuesday morning. The vehicle belonged to a customer, who was having work done on the vehicle.
