Springettsbury Township Police seek help in identifying armed robber

Springettsbury Township Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man caught on camera.

According to police, on Monday, Oct. 3., officers responded to Weis Markets located at 2400 E. Market St. for the report of an armed robbery. The victims were a man and a woman, both in their 70’s, police said.

A man allegedly came up to them in a parking lot displaying a knife, police explained. The suspect took a purse and a wallet and got into a gray or blue sedan, possibly a Nissan. The car was last seen leaving the parking lot headed east on E. Market St.
