COLUMBIA, Pa.– A York man was charged after attempting a burglary while under the influence of narcotics.

Keegan Gowe, 19, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and public drunkenness for his crimes.

On October 6 at approximately 11 p.m., police responded to 50 N. 4th St. for a burglary in progress. The caller told police that he came home to find an unknown male in his apartment.

Gowe was seen coming out of the rear of the apartment and was taken into custody.

It was found that Gowe had a bench warrant through Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office. He also had drug paraphernalia on his person.

After finding out Gowe was intoxicated, the victims that found him in the apartment declined to press charges.
