UPPER ALLEN TWP., Pa. — A 25-year-old woman faces charges, after police say she fell asleep, and let her children wander the streets in  Cumberland County.

According to police, on September 28th, police responded to the 300-block of Reservoir Road in Upper Allen Township, to investigate a report of small children, age three-years and younger,  walking in the street unsupervised.

Officers say they found their mother, Brittany Spotts, of Mechanicsburg, inside the house sleeping, while her children were outside.

Police also say they  investigated a similar incident in early September at the same house.

During the investigation, police  found marijuana and drug paraphernalia inside the home, laying in the open where children had access.

Spotts is now charged with Endangering the Welfare of Children and drug offenses.
