HARRISBURG, Pa. – A base repair operation by PennDOT maintenance crews will restrict traffic to a single lane on southbound Interstate 83 in York County on Wednesday, between Exit 18 for Mount Rose Avenue (Route 124) and Exit 16 for Queen Street (Route 74). The operation will take place in the left lane between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. weather permitting.

On Thursday, the operation will move farther south in the left late between Exit 14 and Exit 10 for Loganville, also between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.

The focus will shift on Friday, October 14, from I-83 to Route 30. Motorists are advised that a base repair operation will be underway on westbound Route 30 on Friday, between Route 616 and Route 116 in West Manchester Township from 8 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Looking ahead to Monday next week, the base repair operation will resume on I-83, but this time in the right lane of northbound I-83 between Exit 4  for Shrewsbury and Exit 8 for Glen Rock, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

This work schedule may be affected by weather. Motorists are asked to be alert to these operations, to obey work zone signs, and to slow down when approaching and traveling through the work zone – for their safety as well as the safety of the work crews.
