UPDATE: Hit and Run driver and bicyclist identified in Lebanon

LEBANON, Pa. — Police say they have identified the driver of the vehicle that struck a bicyclist Saturday and then fled the scene. Marie Smith, 56, of Lebanon residence allegedly struck the victim around 9:52 pm on the 200 block of Maple Street.

Police say the investigation into the accident is ongoing.

The victim,Steve Fuentes-Sarmiento, 21, of Lebanon, was riding his bicycle west on Maple Street when he was struck from behind by the vehicle. The striking vehicle continued west on Maple Street then turned right (north) on Boyer Street.

The victim is in critical condition at a local medical facility.

Police were assisted in the investigation at the scene by the Lebanon County District Attorney’s Office Accident Reconstruction Team.

Police are asking body shop and garages to report any similar vehicle brought in for service with the mentioned damage.
