MANHEIM TOWNSHIP, LANCASTER COUNTY, PA. -- Hoping to finish the fight against cancer, hundreds of people attended the American Cancer Society's "Unmask the Cure Legacy Ball" on Saturday evening.

Attendees at the ball had their chance at winning some big-ticket items in a silent auction.  People also got a treat from, "Mama Tried" as the band performed live.

The American Cancer Society puts much of its efforts into cancer research and is thankful for the community's help.

"The American Cancer Society is the second largest funder of cancer related research short of the government. So to have the local community come out here is just really exciting for us, we hope to raise a lot for money tonight," Tanya Faranda-Diedrich, the Legacy Ball co-chair said.

FOX43's Chris Garrett emceed the event. They hoped to raise $175,000.
