Harrisburg pizza shop honors city police captain

HARRISBURG, Pa.– A Harrisburg business honored city police during a recent event. On October 15th, Jose Garcia, owner of Aleco’s Pizza on North Second Street, held a thank you party. The gathering was in honor of Harrisburg Police Captain Gabriel Olivera.

Olivera is the highest ranking Hispanic in Harrisburg Bureau of Police history. He was honored for his service and dedication to the city during the celebration at the restaurant. Police Chief Thomas Carter, among others, were on hand in support of Olivera.

Aleco’s Pizza has held similar community events over the years as a way to give back to the community.
