CARLISLE, Pa. – On Wednesday, October 12th at about 3:30 p.m. a man entered the Tractor Supply store located at 100 Noble Boulevard in Carlisle Borough.  Near the entrance of the store there were prepackaged bundles of firewood for sale.  The man retrieved 3 bundles and proceeded to return them for a refund at the sales counter.  The suspect further presented a PA identification showing he was Colton Meredith-Motter.  He was reimbursed $11.97 and subsequently departed the store.

Employees then reviewed in-store surveillance video showing Motter retrieve the 3 bundles of wood as he entered the store.   The Carlisle Police Department was notified of the theft.

As part of the investigation, a recent photograph of Colton Meredith-Motter was checked and found to match the man captured on the TSC in-store video.  The vehicle in which he had left the scene was also confirmed to be registered to the suspect.

As a result of their investigation, police charged Meredith-Motter over the weekend with Theft by Deception and Retail Theft.
