YORK– A local man and his wallet are reunited after 20 years apart.

According to Reddit user biggrizzae his father was visiting Lake Redman in York County about 20 years ago when he dropped his wallet somewhere in the Lake.

The Redditor wrote that his father was “super bummed” because the wallet contained his badge as a York County Prison Correctional Officer.

But today he received a message on Facebook saying that his wallet had been found.

The water levels at Lake Redman have been much lower than normal lately due to the York Water Company installing a new pumping station there and needing to lower the water for construction.

The current construction has water levels about eight feet below normal.

The man that found the wallet was using a metal detector when he located the wallet.
