LEOLA,PA. - In Pennsylvania, there are approximately 2,500 children waiting to be adopted according to Cobys Family Services in Leola. Cobys is a family service agency that offers foster and adoptive services to families. Furthermore, once a family adopts, the organization offers free support to adoptive families. November is National Adoption Month. There is a need for families willing to foster and/or adopt.
"We definitely want families to know that they're not in this or on their own. There's lots of people who will be supporting them and that's a big part of what we do at Cobys," said Jen McDowell, adoption supervisor.
