HOLD ON TO YOUR HATS!
As we end the week, the chilly, fall air returns. High pressure bumps up against a departing system causing a tight pressure gradient, which results in a brisk, breezy day Friday. Gusts over 20 mph possible. Winds out of the north keep temperatures from rising much more than the lower to middle 50s.
Winds relax heading into Friday evening. Clouds around during the clear the skies and temperatures will fall quickly to the 40s. If you have plans to head to one of the area football games, our game of the week, or heading out to begin your weekend, be sure to grab a jacket. You’ll need one.
WEEKEND OUTLOOK
The weekend looks dry with partly cloudy skies. Winds relax and under mostly clear skies, morning lows tank to the lower 30s. Some areas may dip into the upper 20s. Temperatures recover to the upper 50s for Saturday. Few more clouds for Sunday as some upper level energy skirts the area. It’s not as cold to start the day with lows in the upper 30s to near 40 degrees. Temperatures climb to near 60 by afternoon.
This weekend we turn our clocks back an hour as Daylight Saving Time ends. It is also a good time to check the batteries in your smoke alarms and CO Detector
NEXT WEEK
A great time to wash the car as the weather continues dry. Expect more sunshine heading into the week. After a cold morning, temperatures recover to near seasonable averages around 60 degrees. High pressure brings another mostly sunny day for Election Day and temperatures are a few degrees warmer in the lower 60s. The weather should allow for a higher voter turnout! Our next system is lacking moisture for Wednesday. More clouds and a small shower chance expected mid-week. High temperatures held down a few degrees in the upper 50s because of the clouds. Thursday is looking dry with more sunshine and highs in the 50s.
