HARRISBURG, Pa. -- Members of Harrisburg City Council hosted a "Souls to the Polls" rally Sunday encouraging Pennsylvanians to get out and vote.

Dozens attended the event with the goal of engaging people in the city in the voting process.

Council member Cornelius Johnson said no matter who you vote for, it's important to make your voice heard in this election.

Johnson said, "If we don't vote, we have no say in our future. It's the basic fundamental rights we have as Americans, where we can finally participate in our government. So it's important for everyone to hit the polls, "Souls to the Polls," so we can get out there and vote."

Some political candidates spoke at the rally, encouraging people to make sure they cast their ballot this Tuesday, November 8.
