YORK COUNTY, Pa. – Northeastern School District has a new superintendent. At its Monday night school board meeting, the Northeastern Board of School Directors voted unanimously to appoint Dr. Stacey A. Sidle as District Superintendent, effective December 5th through June 30, 2020. Terms of the four year contract were not disclosed.

Dr. Sidle had been serving as acting Superintendent following the dismissal of Dr. Shawn Minnich last Spring. Dr. Minnich was arrest last December on criminal charges involving a domestic dispute with his wife.

Dr. Sidle has been with the District since July 1, 2010. Prior to joining the Northeastern team, she worked in the Southern York County School District, serving as an Emotional Support teacher and an administrator at Susquehannock High School. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education from California University of Pennsylvania, a Master’s degree in Special Education and Principal Certification from Shippensburg University, a Doctorate degree from Immaculata University and a Superintendent’s Letter of Eligibility.

In her spare time, Dr. Sidle enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons. Together, they enjoy camping and attending sporting events.
