HARRISBURG, Pa.– Several state offices were up for grabs on Election Day.
The Office of Attorney General, vacated by Kathleen Kane after she was convicted of perjury, was secured by Josh Shapiro. Shapiro, a democrat, is a current Montgomery County Commissioner and also the first democrat to lead that county in 150-years. Shapiro beat Republican Senator John Rafferty, who represents the 44th District.

Shapiro thanked his supporters via Twitter:

In the race for State Auditor General, Incumbent Democrat Eugene DePasquale will serve another term. He won over his Republican challenger John Brown, along with Libertarian candidate Roy Minet and Green Party candidate John Sweeney.

Depasquale tweeted to his followers to declare victory:

For the office of State Treasurer, Democrat Joe Torsella, Republican Otto Voit, Libertarian James Babb and Green Party candidate Kristin Combs were in the running. The winner was Democrat Joe Torsella.
The office was vacated in June of 2015 when Democrat Rob McCord resigned after a federal investigation into campaign finance violations.
The interim treasurer, Timothy Reese, did not run.
