Officer dies after being shot outside of Pittsburgh, suspect kills himself

According to FOX NEWS, the Washington County coroner announced that a police officer died Thursday morning after being shot in Pennsylvania, and the suspect has killed himself.

A witness told KDKA that the shooting started as a domestic dispute between a man and his pregnant wife.

As officers approached the home, Michael Cwiklinski opened fire.  WPXI reported the shooting took place around 4 a.m. in Canonsburg, 20 miles southwest of Pittsburgh. One officer was taken to the hospital by an ambulance and another officer was flown.

Both officers’ names have not been released and the condition of the other officer is unknown.

As of 9 a.m., officials confirmed that Cwiklinski had died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
