Gusty conditions Friday accompany a chill leading into the weekend

Winds are quite gusty Friday. Sustained winds are 10 to 20 miles per hour are expected, with even higher gusts.




Winds gust up to 30 to 35 miles per hour at times Friday.

GUSTY FRIDAY: Our next system slides through Friday, making for a gusty day with plentiful clouds. There are a few clouds around Friday morning, and it is chilly to start, with temperatures in the upper 30s to gfx2middle 40s. The clouds quickly build through the morning. The winds are breezy, and they turn even gustier for the afternoon. Gusts could be as high as 30 to 35 miles per hour at times. Skies are partly sunny, with a stray sprinkle to the northwest. Afternoon highs reach the 50s. The clouds fade through the night as a chilly air mass settles into the region. Temperatures plummet into the upper 20s to lower 30s as the winds ease.




Despite a chilly burst Saturday, it's still dry through the weekend and early next week.

CHILLY WEEKEND BURST: The chiller November air settles in the for the first half of the weekend. The chilliest of the days is Saturday, where temperatures for most don’t touch 50 degrees. Sunday features plenty of sunshine and some moderation in temperatures. Readings are in the lower to middle 50s, a more typical November chill for the time of year.



NEXT WEEK: The sunshine mixes with clouds for Monday, with highs in the middle to upper 50s. There’s still clouds Tuesday as we watch the next system. Temperatures are near 60 degrees. Readings fall closer to seasonable averages in the 50s on Wednesday. We’re watching for a shower or two around the middle of the week. Thursday brings more sunshine for the region.
