LANCASTER, PA. --  An 'Extraordinary Give' event came to life through and "The science of Star Wars" on Sunday.

Some 42 special costumed characters including R2D2,  Kylo Ren and Boba Fett made an appearance. Kids also got their hand at controlling their inner force while competing in sensory warfare and glow in the dark sabers.

Event organizers say the multi-day event is a success. "We have a huge turnout her today," Lancaster Science Factory Director of Operations, Bob Herbert said. "We had a great day yesterday with the capitol city Jedi knights. They had lightsaber battles. The kids just love that sort of thing. It's a great opportunity for our guests to come in and experience the science factory in a different way."

Each dollar donated helps support the science factory and extraordinary give and hands-on stem education. It will also help the factory offer free admission to 6th grade classes and youth-serving non-profits within Lancaster County.
