YORK, PA. --  About 40 people marched in Downtown York on Sunday afternoon to spread the message of unity.

The marchers made their way up and down several streets through the downtown area. They said the main reason for the march was to demonstrate peace, but said it is also related to the results of last weeks presidential election where Donald Trump was voted as President-Elect.

"Of course it has something to do with the election, but this is more of a people thing," peaceful protester, John Beck said. "We want people from all sides to come together. This literally is about unity."

As people rode by the protesters, they honked their horns in support. The group says they plan to hold more of these events.
