MIDDLESEX TOWNSHIP, CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa. -- The Hotel Carlisle in Cumberland County is no more after it was closed one year ago, but you can take a piece of its history home with you for the right price.

The hotel is being auctioned off inside and out.

It's checkout time at the Hotel Carlisle as the building and everything in it will soon become a memory.

Those looking for something to remember, can pick up a souvenir or a much needed item by making a bid to an auctioneer

Auctioneer Howard Hirsch said "whether you're a restaurateur who's looking to upgrade their kitchen, whether you're a hotel owner who's looking to upgrade their furniture, or whether you're just the general public who would like a new bedroom set."

When the auctioneers say they're selling everything, they mean everything down to the very last brick.

"We're going to be selling all the precious metals, all the copper, all the aluminum, all the steel. We'll sell the doors, we'll sell the windows. There's mahogany architecture in here that's absolutely beautiful. There are five bars, and we're going to be selling each of these bars," Hirsch said.

The hotel has been a fixture in Cumberland County for more than 50 years, and on December 5th, it will soon be gone, but not forgotten

"A lot of the people who came to the events and the functions are going to miss this old girl. It was quite the extravaganza in Carlisle," Hirsch said.

"With their exquisite stages, and their sound equipment, pianos, it was just a site to behold, back in the day," Hirsch said.

Hirsch Auction company compiled a list of everything that's for sale, from soup to nuts.
