LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. – Police in northwest Lancaster County were involved in a high speed chase that began in Mount Joy borough at about 4:15 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.  A borough police officer spotted a dark grey Dodge Durango SUV that had been reported stolen, in the parking lot of the Giant in the 700 block of E. Main Street.  When the officer approached the vehicle the driver sped away.

The pursuit headed east on Route 772 toward Manheim Borough at a high rate of speed. Police say the chase then headed back toward Route 283.  They eventually lost sight of the SUV and called off the pursuit. The chase lasted about 10 minutes according to a borough police officer.
