There are a number of reasons why a motorist would want to download a smartphone app to get them from point A to point B. Presumably, a driver would want to arrive at their destination with the least amount of hassle. From congested highways to limited knowledge of a driver’s surrounding, when confronted with an unexpected traffic jam, traditional maps may not provide fast enough insight.

When a navigational app pledges to provide a driver the fastest route compared to other navigational apps, is what they are selling true? Technology has advanced to the point where smartphone apps offer not only directions, but some also offer alternate routes to detour driver’s around accidents and construction zones.

FOX43 tested three popular apps: Apple maps, Google maps and Waze. Tune in tonight at 10 p.m. to find out the results of using all three apps. We’ll tell you which one we discovered will get you to your destination the fasted and had accurate arrival times.
