EPHRATA, Pa. – Ephrata Police charge Barry L. Foltz, Jr., 34, with Arson after an investigation revealed he  set fire to his own home.   Seven other people lived in Foltz’ home including his father, his sister and her family.  No one was injured.

Ephrata Police responded at about 10:30 a.m. Thursday to the first block of Summerlyn Drive, Ephrata Township for a house fire.   Ephrata Pioneer Fire Company, Lincoln Fire Company, Akron Fire Company and Reamstown Fire Company also responded to the scene. The fire started and was contained to the garage area of the house.

A Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal determined the fire was intentionally set.

Foltz was taken to Lancaster County Central Arraignment.
