Drug bust reveals heroin, drug dealing operation in Lancaster

LANCASTER, Pa.– A month long investigation resulted in multiple arrests from a heroin sales operation in the 1st Block of Prospect Street.

On November 18, officers served a narcotic related search warrant at the home, resulting in six arrests.

Upon arrival at the home, police detained Jared Madonna, Tara Gabriel, Jeremiah Miller and Martin Waltman for separate crimes. At the time, Miller was found to be in possession of a drug use kit which contained several baggies of heroin and a needle. Waltman was found with a glass crack cocaine pipe.

Police searched the home, finding 67 bags of heroin, a single barrel shotgun, crack cocaine and methamphetamine pipes, Suboxone tabs, $800 dollars, brass knuckles, and the controlled substances Clonazepam and Alprazolam.

During the search of the home, two people were waiting to purchase narcotics from either Madonna or Gabriel.

Robert Shultz was contacted by police, and arrested for an outstanding parole violation for robbery. At the time of his arrest, he was found to be in possession of a needle, spoon and a cotton ball. These items are used to prepare and ingest heroin.

Joshua Gochenaur was also contacted by police, and provided officers with Suboxone and was also found to be in possession of a needle and items used to prepare and ingest heroin.

While searching the home two people, at separate times and under separate circumstances, were waiting to purchase narcotics from Madonna or Gabriel.  Shultz was contacted and arrested on an outstanding state parole violation for robbery.  Search incident to arrest he was found to be in possession of a hypodermic needle, a spoon and a cotton ball.  All items, taken together, are used to prepare and ingest heroin into the human body.

Gochenaur was contacted and voluntarily provided officers with Suboxone, a controlled substance, and was also found to possess a hypodermic needle as well as items used to prepare and ingest heroin.

Madonna, 33, is charged with possession with intent to deliver heroin and possession of controlled substances among other charges. Gabriel, 32, is charged with possession with intent to deliver heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Waltman, 43, and Miller, 33, are charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Schultz, 25, was arrested for his parole violation in addition to being charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Finally, Gochenaur, 32, is charged with possession of Suboxone and drug paraphernalia.

All subjects were arrested and taken to the police station for booking.
