YORK COUNTY, Pa. – The York County Coroner’s Office has identified a 3 year old Jackson Township child who died on Thanksgiving Day as Avery C. Ogle.  The  toddler was with her parents visiting a relatives home in Springettsbury Township when at some point someone noticed that she was missing. She was found unresponsive in the home’s indoor pool.

An ambulance responded at around 3:09 p.m. to a 911 call from the home in the 2300 block of Deininger Road. The child was rushed to Memorial Hospital for emergency treatment but was pronounced dead at 3:35 p.m.

An autopsy revealed the cause of the child’s death was drowning. The manner of death was ruled accidental.
