LOWER SWATARA TOWNSHIP, DAUPHIN COUNTY– Two men were rescued from a burning vehicle after a single-vehicle crash in Dauphin County late Friday night.
It happened along the 300 block of Stoner Drive in Lower Swatara Township around 11:09 p.m.
Police say the vehicle crashed and then burst into flames. A passerby removed the driver and passenger from the burning vehicle before emergency crews arrived at the scene, according to police reports.
The driver, identified as Scott Shaffer, and passenger, Joe Keating, both suffered severe burns to their lower extremities.
The men were flown to the Lehigh Valley Burn Center for treatment.
