HIGHSPIRE, DAUPHIN COUNTY–Police are investigating a bank robbery that occurred in Highspire earlier this month.

It happened at the Citizens Bank located along the 200 block of Second Street on November 5. According to police reports, the suspect entered the bank around 9:45 a.m. and pushed the floor mats in the entryway under the front doors in order to block the doors from closing. Once inside, the man announced he was robbing the bank and demanded all the loose money in the drawers. The suspect threatened that he had a gun, but none was displayed during the robbery.

After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash–the robber fled on foot in an unknown direction.

The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic male in his 20s or 30s, approximately 5’6″ to 5’8″ in height, and 180 pounds.  The suspect was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, white and black sneakers, a black ski mask and black gloves.  He was also carrying a black backpack.

A reward of up to $2,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest.
